Summer 2025
Forest Safety Project at Lionhead Campground is Underway
- A combination of rot, age, and insect infestation created hazardous conditions in trees around Lionhead Campground.
- IDPR and Idaho Department of Lands experts determined that many trees posed an immediate danger and have been removed.
- Sites 115-121 appear different due to the thinning of the trees, so please keep this in mind when booking.

Lionhead Group Camp
- Reservations have changed to a lottery style.
- One cabin sleeps 12 and features cooking facilities
- 12 RV campsites include water, electrical and sewer hookups
- Central shower and restroom facilities
- Lionhead can accommodate 50 guests
- A Group Camp Agreement must be filled out within 7 days of booking.
Downloads
Schaefer Cabin
- A reservation needs to be obtained before you fill out the Schaefer Rental Contract.
- Sleeps a max of 6 people
- Includes a twin-sized bed (will pullout trundle bed), a queen bed, and two futon couches
- No pets allowed
- Cost is $330 for non-residents, $300 for residents.
