1st Day Hikes @ Hells Gate State Park

Hells Gate state park brings back First Day Hikes on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Come enjoy a family event, hiking the wonderful trails offered at Hells Gate State Park on from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

This year the hikes will be unguided, Hikers are encouraged to explore any of our 12 plus miles of trails. Hikers will need to check in at the discovery center.
Free Chili and Hot drinks will be available upon return to the Discovery Center.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress accordingly for the weather. Also, dogs are welcome, but please keep your furry friends on a leash. The motor vehicle entry fee will be in effect.

This is the 8th year that Hells Gate State Park will be hosting a hike, and the event promises to be a great way for people of all ages and abilities to start 2023 off on the right foot by getting outside and being active. See you there!
