PARK UPDATE:

June 2024 Update:

Overall Project: Construction on the water mainline continues with a closure now needed on the Peninsula trail for the public’s safety. Trail closed signs will be put up at the boat ramp access point of the trail as well as where the trail meets up with the Lakeview trail. This will give users an opportunity to continue their hike or ride on different trails or the park’s main road. We anticipate this closure to be 2-3 weeks long. Please use alternate trails or the main park road to bypass this construction. Click here to view a map of current affected area.

Please see the park’s Projects page for more information.

The park’s day-use road is open to the scenic overlook at Osprey Point. The Peninsula and RV Campgrounds open on Thursday, May 23.  Reservations can be made at: Ponderosa State Park, ID – Campground & Camping Details – [ID] (reserveamerica.com) .
