June/July 2024 Update:
Overall Project: Construction on the water mainline continues with a closure now needed on the Peninsula trail for the public’s safety. The Peninsula Trail will be open from June 29 – July 7 (closed July 3). Normal construction closures will resume from July 8 – July 12. Anticipation completion date is end of July. Please use alternate trails or the main park road to bypass this construction. Click here to view a map of current affected area. Please see the park’s Projects page for more information.
Downed Trees: High winds on July 26 brought down several large trees within the park. Please watch for crews and closure signs as we work to clean up these trees. Thank you!
The park’s day-use road is open to the scenic overlook at Osprey Point. The Peninsula and RV Campgrounds open on Thursday, May 23. Reservations can be made at: Ponderosa State Park, ID – Campground & Camping Details – [ID] (reserveamerica.com) .
