Park Units Closure Update for July 26th, 2025:
Discovery Unit and Sandy Point Unit will be closed in the early morning on Saturday, July 26, 2025, due to the Iron Man racecourse. Both units will re-open at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26th, 2025. Spring Shores Unit will open as normal at 6:00am.
The sheltered picnic pavilions at Discovery Park are perfect for hosting parties. Sandy Point’s amphitheater is a great fit for larger events like family reunions, weddings, receptions, or corporate parties. You can celebrate with those closest to you while enjoying views of the Boise River.
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) initiated a feasibility study for the improvement and potential expansion of the marina facilities at Lucky Peak State Park. The study team held multiple public meetings to share information and gather input.
