October 18, 2024 Update:

Water to campsites and bathrooms has been shut off for the season. Toilets remain available, but restroom sinks are dry; hand sanitizer has been provided. Water for drinking, cooking, and bathing must be brought in.

Mountain Fawn Campground

  • Location: 5687 Eastshore Rd, St Charles, ID 83272
  • Hours: Quiet Hours 10:00pm – 7:00am
  • Check in Time: 2:00pm
  • Check out Time: 1:00pm

Camp along the lakeshore at Mountain Fawn Campground. A stay in the campground provides a beautiful view of the lake, beach access, restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings and dump station. Campsites for groups as large as 50 are available along with several serviced and standard sites.

Important Rules at Mountain Fawn Campground:

  • Dogs are allowed but must be confined or on a maximum, 6-ft leash
  • Owners are responsible to clean up after their pet
  • Camping is permitted only in designated areas
  • All equipment and vehicles must fit within the designated camp site
  • No camping on beach
  • Campfires are allowed in designated areas only
  • No fires on beach (propane fire rings & charcoal grills are allowed)
  • No glass bottles on beach
  • No fireworks

Mountain Fawn Day Use Area

  • Hours: Day Use Only 7:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sharing an entrance with the East Beach Campground is the East Beach Day Use area. It provides beach access, a small boat ramp, a life jacket loaner station, picnic tables, and restrooms.

Available for day use by reservation only, are three large shelters for groups of up to 50. The North, Middle, and South Shelters offer picnic tables and drinking water, and are surrounded by a large grass area.

Shelter reservations can be made up to 9 months in advance by calling our Visitor Center at 208-945-2325.

Sage Springs Beach

  • Location: 6419 Eastshore Rd, St Charles, ID 83272
  • Hours: Day Use Only 7:00am – 10:00 pm

Sage Springs Beach resides where natural spring water flows from the mountains into the east side of the lake. Two large parking areas provide easy access to the beach and both Sage Springs North and Sage Springs South have restrooms available.

Important Rules at Sage Springs Beach:

  • No dogs are allowed on or below Sage Springs North
  • Dogs are allowed on or below Sage Springs South
  • Must be confined, or on a maximum, 6-foot leash
  • Owners are responsible to clean up after their pet
  • No fireworks
  • No glass bottles on beach
  • No fires on beach (propane fire rings & charcoal grills are allowed)
  • No camping on beach

Sage Springs Primitive Campsites

Amongst the junipers and tall sagebrush, Sage Springs Primitive Campsites offers a large group site for up to 50 people, and multiple new tent sites coming soon. The group site provides a peaceful stay and beautiful view of the lake as well as beach access. A shared restroom is available as well as picnic tables and fire rings.

The group site is available by reservation only and can be made up to 9 months in advance by calling 1-888-922-6743.
