PARK UPDATE:

Update Winter 2023-2024:

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) and the Bureau of Reclamation invite the public to an open house on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the American Legion Post #60, located at 105 E. Mill St., Cascade 83611, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. MST.

During the event, the public can learn about the marina project and record official comments in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the proposed action, speak with Reclamation and IDPR staff, learn how to submit comments, and see the next steps for consideration regarding the marina. Representatives from the Tamarack Resort, which initiated the proposal and would operate the facility, if approved, will be available to answer questions.

As proposed, the project would increase public parking and install up to 200 seasonal boat slips, onsite fuel sales, and a rental and retail facility.

For more information or to comment, see the Marina Proposal page.

Winter camping is now available in the boat ramp parking areas at Blue Heron, Van Wyck, and Poison Creek Units. Additionally, there is winter day use access at Boulder Creek Day Use Area and at the Stonebraker Winter Parking Area provided by Idaho Fish and Game.
