The Be Outside, Idaho grant program is temporarily suspending their grants for the 2020-2021 cycle. The difficult decision was made after several applicants from the previous 2019-2020 cycle were unable to complete their projects due to COVID19-related complications.

The sole purpose behind the Be Outside, Idaho grants is to encourage outdoor recreation opportunities for children in the state of Idaho. Because of this, many of the grants go towards group events. However, in order to encourage physical distancing and safe hygiene practices, many schools and youth programs decided to forego their projects temporarily while we await the outcome of the pandemic.

Be Outside, Idaho has every intention to re-start the program next year for the 2021-2022 grant cycle, but more information on that will be released as it becomes available and we know more about the pandemic.
