Be Outside, Idaho Announces Opening of 2021-2022 Grant Application Period

After a year-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Be Outside, Idaho announces the opening of the 2021-2022 grant cycle. Interested applicants should visit beoutsideidaho.gov for program information and application details.

About Be Outside, Idaho
Be Outside, Idaho, a program connecting Idaho’s youth to the outdoors, announces the opening of its 2021-2022 grant application period. Applications will be accepted for projects that support the organization’s mission to “To connect children with nature in Idaho, from backyards to mountaintops.”

Be Outside Idaho is a project of the Idaho Recreation and Tourism Initiative (IRTI). This coalition of state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations collaborate and share resources to encourage youth, their families, and schools to get outdoors, through projects that focus on outdoor recreation and natural resource education. The grants, funded by initiative partners, are awarded to Idaho schools, government entities and non-profit organizations that demonstrate support of the Be Outside, Idaho mission and meet the grant program criteria.

Important Dates
Application deadline: October 1, 2021 (close of business).

Application can be found on the BeOutsideIdaho.gov website and should be submitted to victoria.runnoe@idfg.idaho.gov.
Grant recipients will be notified November 1, 2021. Projects must be completed by May 1, 2022. Grant reports are due June 1, 2022. Project funding will be issued upon project completion and submission of the grant report, showing how the project met the grant requirements.
