IDAHO TIME Reservation System Day One

Monday January 6, 2025
(Boise) - The new IDAHO TIME Parks and Recreation camping reservation system launched Monday, January 6 with a reservation window for stays that started through May 31. The top priority was for visitors to successfully enter and use the new system to make reservations at the 23 Idaho State Parks that have campgrounds. More than 4,000 reservations were made, 18,000 visitor sessions were supported, and 90 percent of reservations were made online rather than over the phone thanks to the simplicity of the updated system. The IDAHO TIME Team is ready for Day Two with a new reservation window opening on January 7 at 8 a.m. MT.

Other Notes from Day One:

There was a 20-minute window on the first day, January 6 at 9:20 a.m. MT when a technical issue disturbed the reservation process for some users. We have a record of impacted customers and are working with those customers.
Idaho State Parks Passport holders: The license plate number associated with your passport provides the motor vehicle fee discount at checkout. Providing the plate number kicks the discount into place.

We appreciate the comments and questions on IDPR’s Facebook page regarding the new system. Customers were able to get individual support through social media and share experiences. Public feedback helps fine-tune the new system.

About the New System: The IDAHO TIME reservation system was built with Brandt, a company that supports state agencies by delivering technology to improve outdoor experiences. Brandt joins the IDAHO TIME customer service team this week to support customers adjusting to the new system and demand-based nightly rates that remain discounted for Idaho residents. Additional Reservation Tips

Customers may be entered into a “waiting room” when they first visit the new online reservation system if the current website traffic is high.

Please note that a reservation is only secured once it is purchased. There are no holds while users look at options. Only three reservations can be made per session, and the session ends after purchase. If more reservations are desired, the user must return to the back of the line in the waiting room.

Reservations by phone can be made at 888-922-6743. However, booking online is a faster way to secure high-demand locations and dates.
IDPR appreciates your patience as we are launching the new reservation system.
