Nike XC Regionals Northwest

The NXR Northwest meet is a 7-state regional championship cross country meet for middle and high school-level athletes.

Mountain West XC Championships

Eagle Island State Park and Boise State University will be hosting the Mountain West XC Championships race for over 15 men’s and women’s XC teams.

Bob Firman XC Run

The Bob Firman XC Run is a middle and high school cross country race for high-caliber athletes attending from 10 states.

Aaron Butler Memorial Purple Heart Run

Eagle Island State Park is proud to host the Aaron Butler Memorial Purple Heart Run courtesy of the Aaron Butler Memorial Foundation!

This event serves to honor all U.S. Armed Forces service members who have dedicated their lives or limbs in combat operations around the globe, with particular emphasis on remembering the abnormally courageous character of SSG Aaron Butler. There will be a 5K, 10K, and unlimited distance options for the run itself. There will be entertainment, food, and beverages available.

The disc golf course will be closed to the public for the duration of this event.

Free Ski Day @ Ponderosa State Park

Entrance is free to the public and winter access fees are waived on Free Ski Day- January 7, 2023. Pre-registration is required to participate in the free lesson and rental package portion of the event. Lessons and rental packages are offered in cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the following times. Rentals are returned at the end of the lesson. *Skiers may choose a lesson in classic cross-country skiing or skate style of cross-country skiing. If you have never cross-country skiied before, it is recommended to start with classic.
