Summer 2024 Update:
Lake Walcott is open to watercraft April 1 – October 31.
DISC GOLF COURSE CLOSED – August 15 – 18, 2024 for the Idaho State Disc Golf Championship. Picnickers and other day users are not permitted on the course for this event. Only participants of the championship are allowed use of the disc golf course and surrounding areas, including the picnic shelters, playground, group camp, and swimming area. The boat launch, kayak docks, and Upper Lakeview picnic area are still accessible for park visitors.
July 26, 2024 Due to unhealthy air quality and per order of the Department of Environmental Quality, we will be implementing an open burn ban at Thousand Springs, Castle Rocks, City of Rocks, and Lake Walcott State Parks. This means no campfires, charcoal, or gas fire rings. You can still use gas cookstoves.
