PARK UPDATE

April 10th – May 10th, 2026:

Please note that rangers in nearby Castle Rocks State Park will be conducting prescribed burns within the State Park boundaries.  

 2026 Water Access:
  • Water at Bath Rock is projected to be turned on by mid-May.  Water at Emery Pass picnic area currently is not considered potable.  Water is available at the Visitor Center if needed.  Vault toilets are located throughout the reserve.  If you have questions, please call the Visitor Center- 208-824-5901.

Visitor Center Summer Hours:

Mid-April 2026 – Late-October 2026

  • The visitor center is open seven days a week and holidays, Sun-Sat, from 8:00am-4:30pm.  
  • Please note that traveling to City of Rocks National Reserve via Oakley is a dirt road and can be wash boarded in sections.   Accessing the park from the North via Almo is a paved road.

Hours of Operation:

Visitors Center open from 8-4:30 Wednesday-Sunday, closed on Mon & Tues | Day-use locations within state parks are open from 7 am to 10 pm, per Idaho state code 26.01.20 (5). Day-use hours may change based on park manager discretion.
