Henrys Lake State Park to be OPEN and staffed this winter!
Henrys Lake State Park will remain open and accessible to the public this winter. The park will have full-time and seasonal staffing presence on-site, enabling the park to maintain the roadways to and within the property. Although the park can receive heavy snowfall and windy conditions, the park has obtained heavy equipment to keep the roads and parking lots plowed and blown for visitors to access the park.
Approximately a dozen dry RV sites will be available to rent, along with 3 heated cabins for rent. Please visit the Reservations section on the main IDPR webpage to see availability. As a reminder, there will not be water available for use in the park. Henrys Lake is a perfect location to ice fish in winter, so all are welcomed to come try their luck. The regular $7 MVEF is applicable to visitors entering the park, and can be paid at the entrance kiosk. The main parking lot next to the Lake will be open and available for parking.
Dump Station Remains Closed
The only sewage dump at the park will be the FULL hook-up sites.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

One of Idaho’s great high mountain lakes, Henrys Lake is the kind of place that anglers dream about. Anglers fish for cutthroat, brook and cut-bow hybrid trout in what is considered one of the finest trout fisheries in the West. The park also offers beautiful nature trails for hiking and biking and wildlife and wildflower viewing.
Located 15 miles from Yellowstone National Park and surrounded on three sides by the Continental Divide, Henrys Lake State Park campsites are situated on the shoreline of the 6,000-acre lake. After a long day of fishing and hiking, take a swing on the porch of one of three park cabins.
