Winter Day Camp for Kids

Saturday, February 15, 2020 - 10:00am

Calling all animals detectives 5-11 years old! Castle Rocks State Park is hosting its annual winter day camp where participants will snowshoe through the park, learning to track wildlife in snow. Other activities may include animal charades, crafts, and observing nature in winter. Snowshoes and lunch will be provided. This event is FREE. However, space is limited so please call to reserve a spot.

Parents, please dress your children in outerwear layers, snowpants, snowboots, gloves/mittens, and a winter hat. We’re also looking for a few parent volunteers who’d like to join the animal detectives. Please reach out by Feb. 1st if you are interested in helping out.

To register, contact Kate at 208-824-5916 or email kate_yeater@partner.nps.gov. The deadline for registration is Feb. 10th. Registered participants will receive additional details closer to the date of the event.
