Payette Children's Forest Summer Event at Ponderosa State Park

Join us, Ponderosa State Park, McCall Master Naturalists, Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary, Payette National Forest, Midas Gold, Backwoods Adventures, McCall Outdoor Science School,  STEM, Optimist Club and many more children oriented organizations at The Fish Pond at Northwest Passage Campground in the North Beach Unit of Ponderosa State Park.

For Children of all ages, there will be booths with fun activities, including A Bear Trail, macro invertebrate, canoeing, outdoor cooking, gold panning, fishing, arts and crafts, and many more. Smokey the Bear and Scout the Fox are supposed to stop by for a visit. Please dress appropriate for the weather, wear closed toed shoes, mosquito repellant, sunscreen, and bring water / a snack.      

Directions to get to the Fish Pond at Northwest Passage: from Highway 55, head north on Warren Wagon Road for 8 miles. Turn right on Eastside Drive and take first right into Northwest Passage Campground head to the pond. Parking will be on one side of the road to the pond. Please no parking in campground.

There is a fee to enter the park if you do not have an Idaho State Park Passport or Idaho Annual Pass.  Programs are free to participants.
