Free Boating Safety Class (Boise)

Wednesday, March 18, 2020 - 6:00pm to Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 6:00pm

The Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation will be hosting a free boating safety class. The class will be held over two sessions from 6:00 - 9:00 pm on March 18 and 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm on March 19, 2020. Students must attend both sessions to receive the certification card.

The class will be held at Prestige Water Sports located at 2820 W. Main Street, Boise ID 83702.

All boaters, regardless of experience, are encouraged to take a boating safety class to learn about Idaho boating laws and pick up some boating safety tips. Many families take the course together so both kids and adults can safely operate their boat. Some insurance companies even offer a discount to those boat owners that successfully complete the “Boat Idaho” boat safety course. Check with your insurance agent to see if you are eligible.

Contact Sadie Wright at (208) 514-2426 or sadie.wright@idpr.idaho.gov to register for the class.  Students should bring their own beverages/snacks and note taking materials.
