Monday, January 1, 2018 -
5:00pm to 7:30pm

State parks across the nation will be ringing in the new year with First Day Hikes to connect individuals and families to nature, fostering physical and mental well-being and shared stewardship of the natural, cultural, and recreational resources of our state parks.

2018 will be greeted with a full moon! Bring your skis, snowshoes, friends and family to join a ranger at Harriman State Park for a 3 mile (round trip), moonlight winter trek to celebrate the New Year! Come experience the park under the glow of moonlit snow, and warm up with hot cocoa by the fire at the Becker Warming Hut. Meet at the historic Jones House. Dress in layers to keep you warm and dry.
