Family Safety While Hiking- STEM Challenge

Saturday, May 25, 2019 - 1:00pm

Presented by Three Island Crossing State Park
Program funded by the Rural Community STEM Engagement Grant provided through
Idaho STEM Action Center
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Everyone can come join us in learning what to teach children to do if they get lost while in the forest or hiking and to provide parents with information to help find children lost in the forest or while hiking.
This program was inspired by the “Hug a Tree and Survive” principles.  Learning a few helpful tips and planning can make for a safer and enjoyable outing.

Meet in the Conference Room of the Oregon Trail History & Education Center.
Cost is free to attend the program, however a Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee of $5 per vehicle is required to enter the park unless you have a current Idaho Parks Passport or Annual MVEF sticker.
