DESCRIPTION:This is an outside organization hosting this event\, so there are closures in the park. It is a cross-country race that is hosted to high school and middle schools. I have attached the course map and the written verbiage we have used with our social media in the past to warn people of the event.“Because of this event; the disc golf course\, hiking trails and equestrian trails around the lake will be closed on this day. Please avoid these areas during this event. We are expecting around 1\,500 people during this event\, so there will also be limited access in the other areas of the park. We also ask that you kindly leave any race material alone as we prepare for this event.If you do plan to visit the park that day\, please use the trailhead parking\, new pond parking\, and the horse trailer parking lot on the East end of the park.Thank you for your understanding.Please visit these links for more information about the race from the race organizers.”They expect to have 3\,000 people attend this year.
