There will be many telescopes to view the night sky with\, weather permitting.  There is no fee for the event\, however the $7 motor entry fee applies unless you have an Idaho State Park pass.  Bring your family and friends. Don’t forget to bring red headlamps or flashlights to keep conditions safe for walking in the dark without compromising others’ ability to see the stars.

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with a day of hands-on history\, family fun\, and pioneer experiences! \n\n\n\nStep back in time and discover what life was like for the emigrants who traveled west along the California Trail. Visitors can make cloth dolls and candles\, play pioneer games\, create animal tracks\, enjoy musical activities\, and learn how emigrants sent mail and prepared food during their journey. \n\n\n\nActivities will take place at both the Visitor Center and along the California Trail Corridor within the reserve. \n\n\n\nBring the whole family and celebrate this historic milestone with us.
