Free Boat Safety Class – Bonner County

The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting several FREE Boat Idaho safe boating classes in the coming months. Classes cover topics such as boating laws, rules of the road, safe boating practices, safety equipment requirements, navigation, and boating etiquette. All classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and will last approximately six hours so please bring a lunch with you. The following is a list of scheduled classes offered throughout Bonner County:

May 8th Priest River Senior Center, 336 E. Jackson Avenue, Priest River
May 15th Bonner County Sheriff’s Marine Division, 4001 N. Boyer Road, Sandpoint
May 22nd Filling Station Youth Center, 102 Main Street, Clark Fork
June 12th Bonner County Sheriff’s Marine Division, 4001 N. Boyer Road, Sandpoint
June 26th Priest Lake Search and Rescue, 81 Cavanaugh Bay Road, Coolin
July 10th Bonner County Sheriff’s Marine Division, 4001 N. Boyer Road, Sandpoint
August 7th Bonner County Sheriff’s Marine Division, 4001 N. Boyer Road, Sandpoint

NOTE: Educational opportunities to promote safe boating practices are very important. However, the public’s safety is our top priority so class sizes will be limited. Registered participants will be notified if the class is cancelled or rescheduled.
