Idaho Trail Report

The Idaho Trail Ranger and Trail Cat Program maintains trail throughout Idaho, to enhance your recreational experience.  The Trail Ranger Program maintains 1500+ miles of trail by removing downfall, brush, diverting water and re-establishing the trail tread.

The Trail Cat Program builds or rebuilds ATV and single track trails.  A SWECO mini dozer takes care of the work for the ATV trails and can build about one mile of ATV trail a day, depending upon the terrain.  A mini-excavator, although slower than the SWECO at building trail, can build about 1/4 mile of single track trail a day in various terrain.

Combined with the IDPR mapping application www.trails.idaho.gov, the trail reports will enable you to cross reference trails maintained with riding opportunities.  The reports below (pdf's) list ongoing trail work by date, forest, and specific trail, available to print out.
