Boating in Idaho
Idaho is truly a boater's paradise. There are over 16,000 miles of rivers and more than 2,000 lakes and reservoirs within the state's borders. Also, we are often called "The Whitewater State" (unofficially). Idaho is a river-runner's dream.
The Program in Brief
Purpose
To educate the public in safe boating practices, ethics and legal requirements in order to prevent fatalities and damage relating to recreational boating accidents and to provide the necessary training for sheriffs' marine deputies to enforce Idaho boating laws.
