Join Henry's Lake State Park on Facebook for the latest conditions on the lake this summer, also construction will begin this summer on an addition to the campground. Updates and pictures will be available as the changes happen. Idaho Dept. Parks and Recreation also has a site on Facebook. On the department site, look for IDPR's new logo and the one-minute video outlining the new Passport program that is in the legislature right now.
Buy your annual passes and Idaho Invasive Species Fund stickers online. Start here on the website. For an annual pass, hover over "registrations, permits, & passports", click "annual pass purchase" and then on "purchase passports". Follow the directions. For an IISF sticker, hover over "registrations, permits, & passports", then "Idaho Invasive Species Fund". Click "sticker purchase", then "purchase online now" and follow the directions. You can also buy an annual pass with your boat registration.
Invasive species stickers are mandatory on all vessels, motorized and non-motorized. The IISF is part of the boat registration for in-state boats, so a separate sticker is not needed for Idaho registrations. Out-of-state boats will need to have the separate sticker, available by mail, e-mail, vendor or here at the entrance station. Profits go to fund the Idaho invasive species program. Boat inspection stations are located on Hwys 87 and 20. A boat inspector will also be here at the park to check those that need inspected. The Fremont County Weed Control is running the boat washes and is working throughout the summer. Let's keep Henry's Lake and the Henry's Fork River clear of invasives - It's in our hands.
The season is short but productive at Henry's Lake State Park. This high mountain lake is considered one of the finest trout fisheries in the west and produces catches worth bragging about. The park is conveniently located a short 15 miles from West Yellowstone, Montana, the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
The park's 43 campsites and 3 camping cabins put you right on the shoreline of the 6,000-acre Henrys Lake. In addition to camping, the park offers 2 day-use areas, hiking, interpretive trails, wildlife viewing, boating, and beautiful views of this broad mountain valley. For questions during the winter, please call (208)558-7368, Harriman State Park.

Henry's Lake Fishing Guide This guide can be purchased at the park on waterproof paper for $2.50.
Fishing
Cutthroat trout, averaging three to five pounds; cutthroat-rainbow hybrids of up to 12 pounds; and brook trout up to three pounds abound in the waters of Henrys Lake. This provides a sport fishery that challenges the float-tuber and is equally exciting for a 10-year old dunking a worm over the side of the family boat. A modern fish-cleaning station is located near the boat ramp. Excellent stream fishing can also be found in the nearby Henrys Fork, Madison and Gallatin rivers.
Boating
A boat ramp and launching docks are available in the park. Boaters should be cautious of the lake's unpredictable weather. Winds can make the surface choppy.
