Eagle Island State Park

Eagle Island is a 545-acre day-use park west of Boise that features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide and more than five miles of trails for those looking for a place to ride horses, hike, walk your dog, or play disc golf.

Exciting Changes

Exciting things are taking place within Eagle Island State Park. Development of the park's Master Plan is underway. Construction has begun and in the next few years, the layout of the park will change and the recreation opportunities within the park will be expanded. There will be opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, ice skating, camping and so much more.

Development/construction within the park will take place in phases.  Throughout each phase, the park will continue to be accessible to the public, although the trail system within the park will change with each phase. 

Current Trail Maps

Trail maps will be modified accordingly and made accessible to the public for download online. Copies of the revised trail maps may also be found at the park's entrance station or in the office.

Disc Golf

Eagle Island offers an  18-hole disc golf course from October to April and a 9-hole disc golf course year round.

Waterslide

 The waterslide is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please see the waterslide calendar for days and hours of operation. Waterslide calendar.pdf
Waterslide rides are 10 for $5 and all-day unlimited ride passes are available for $10.

Park Fees

The daily vehicle entrance fee is $4.00. This may be paid at the park’s entrance via self collect envelopes.  

Picnic shelter reservation fees vary dependant on the size of the group. Please contact park staff at 208-939-0696 to make a reservation is in effect year round.
