ADDITIONAL CAMPSITES AVAILABLE AT HENRYS LAKE STATE PARK
EASTERN IDAHO (July 1, 2014)—The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) announced today that additional campsites are now available at Henrys Lake State Park located in Island Park, Idaho, just 15 miles west of Yellowstone National Park.
The popular park now offers 83 campsites, three ADA campsites and is famous for its world class fishing opportunities.
“One of Idaho's great high mountain lakes, Henrys Lake is the kind of place that fishers dream about,” said Jennifer Okerlund, IDPR Communications Manager. “Anglers fish for cutthroat, brook and cut-bow hybrid trout in what is considered one of the finest trout fisheries in the West.”
Reservations for stays within Henrys Lake State Park can be made as late as one day prior to arrival online at www.parksandrecreation.idaho.gov or by calling toll-free: 1-888-922-6743.
“The new campsites will be available for reservation at 8 a.m. the morning of July 1st,” Okerlund said. “We expect the sites to reserve quickly.”
