Group Yurts

How would you like your own private knoll overlooking Lake Cascade for your next family reunion, business retreat or cross-country ski outing? The group yurt camp at Lake Cascade State Park's Osprey Point will give you an unforgettable experience in an easily accessible yet secluded area with fabulous lake views.

The Bluebird Yurt has two single/single bunk beds, two double futon couch-beds, a table and folding chairs, and cook table.

The Appaloosa Yurt has three single/double bunk beds, 1 double futon couch-bed, a table and folding chairs, and cook table.

The Syringa Yurt has three single/double bunk beds, 1 double futon couch-bed, a table and folding chair, and cook table.

Each yurt has a two burner Coleman cook stove and two Coleman lanterns. Renters need to supply their own propane canisters. Wood is available at yurt, $8 per level wheelbarrow load, payable at yurt in drop box.

We recommend 1 canister per appliance per day. The lanterns must have the short fat canisters, not the tall canisters. (A stove with both burners on will burn for 1-4.5 hours on one canister; a lantern on full will burn 7 hours.)

Restrooms are available. There are no shower facilities. Drinking water is available at an outside faucet. Picnic tables are available outside the yurts. There is no electricity and there are no telephones. Some cell phones may work, but you will want to test yours before counting on it.

Renters are responsible for light cleaning. A broom and dustpan are provided. Sheets and/or plastic mattress covers need to be removed and placed in designated spot.

Each yurt has a wood burning stove, and one group fire pit is outside. Firewood is available for purchase, or bring your own. The stoves will accommodate wood up to 18” long.

For an additional charge you may also have up to five camping units (tents/RVs) at Osprey Point.

$25 reservation fee (non refundable--does not apply to rental fees). No charge for children under three. No pets. No smoking inside the yurts.
